About the author
Hi, I'm Arshak Nersisyan — I built this site because I couldn't find honest answers about flat feet and shoes.
Flat Feet Shoe Guide is an independent review site run by one person, not a content team. I'm 32 years old, I live in Yerevan, Armenia, and I have grade 2 flat feet myself — this site is the research I wish existed when I started taking my own foot pain seriously.
My story
My name is Arshak Nersisyan. I was diagnosed with grade 2 flat feet, and like a lot of people with that diagnosis, I spent years buying shoes based on brand reputation or whatever was on sale, and paying for it with tired arches and ankle soreness after long days on my feet. Some pairs that looked fine on paper were genuinely uncomfortable within weeks. Eventually I got serious about understanding why some shoes felt fine and others didn't for a foot like mine, and started keeping notes every time I tried something new.
This site is that research, cleaned up and organized so it's actually useful to someone else standing in a shoe aisle — or scrolling Amazon at 11pm — trying to figure out which pair is worth the money.
What makes this site different
- First-hand testing. When we say a shoe "runs narrow" or "needs a week to break in," it's because we wore it, not because we copied a spec sheet.
- No miracle claims. We won't tell you a shoe "cures" flat feet — nothing does. We talk about comfort, support, and stability, not medical outcomes.
- Transparent criteria. Every review uses the same evaluation framework, explained on our homepage, so you can judge our reasoning, not just our conclusion.
- Honest about drawbacks. If a popular shoe has a real downside, we say so — even when that shoe pays a better commission.
How this site makes money
Flat Feet Shoe Guide participates in the Amazon Associates program. When you click a link to Amazon and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
